Who Are We?
Postman is the world’s leading API platform, used by more than 25 million developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. Postman is helping developers and professionals across the globe build the API-first world by simplifying each step of the API lifecycle and streamlining collaboration—enabling users to create better APIs, faster.
We recommend reading The "API-First World" graphic novel to understand the bigger picture and our vision at Postman.
The Opportunity:
Postman Live Insights is designed to guide developers, regardless of their familiarity with the monitored system or the Postman API Platform, towards efficiently identifying and resolving issues. Our aim is for developers to pinpoint problematic API endpoints within 30 minutes of account creation, enabling even newcomers to address issues as seamlessly as making an API call.
Our recent efforts have culminated in the alpha release of Live Insights, introducing the Live Collections Agent. This tool monitors API traffic, auto-populating a Postman collection with detected endpoints. Within 15 minutes of its deployment, users can witness updated endpoints in their collection, which the agent continually refreshes based on observed traffic.
While API discovery is our current focus, we're expanding our offerings. Soon, users will be able to navigate auto-updated API endpoints based on error, latency, and volume metrics. Over the coming months, we'll collaborate with early adopters to optimize the presentation of this data.
