Postman Developers' Choice Awards - Official Terms and Conditions
1. Overview
The Postman Developers' Choice Awards (“Contest”) is organized by Postman, Inc. (“Postman”) and aims to recognize exceptional APIs based on votes submitted by developers. By participating, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals who are registered users of the Postman API Network as of April 2, 2025 (“Publishers”).
Employees, affiliates, and agents of Postman and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
Void where prohibited by law.
3. How to Enter
Anyone who has published on the Postman API Network with a public team account will automatically be eligible to participate.
4. Voting Rules
Voting is open to anyone with a Postman account.
Each voter may vote for up to three (3) Publishers during the Voting Period (as defined below).
5. Voting Period
The Contest's Voting Period begins at 6:00 AM PT on April 2, 2025, and ends at 1:00 PM PT on April 17, 2025. Votes submitted outside this period will not be counted.
6. Judging and Announcement of the Winning Publisher
The winning Publisher will be determined based on the total number of valid votes received during the Voting Period. The winning Publisher will be notified as soon as possible after the Voting Period. If a team is the winning Profile, the team must select one individual to receive the prize and notify Postman by Apr 23, 2025.
The winning Publisher will be publicly announced at POST/CON 2025 on June 3-4 2025.
7. Prizes
There will be one Grand Prize awarded to the winning Publisher, or representative from the winning team. This winner will receive a complementary trip to POST/CON 2025, including flights, hotel stay, and conference registration (not to exceed US $3,500).
Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternatives will be provided. Federal, state, and local income taxes on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
8. Publicity
By participating, you agree that Postman may use your name, company name, API name, and any related materials for marketing, promotional, and publicity purposes in connection with the Contest, without compensation or further notice, unless prohibited by law.
9. Participant Obligations
Publishers must not engage in fraudulent activity to obtain votes, including but not limited to buying votes or using automated tools.
Publishers and voters must comply with Postman's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
10. Disqualification
Postman reserves the right to disqualify any Participant or void any vote if it believes these Terms have been violated or if fraudulent activity is detected.
11. Limitation of Liability
Postman, its affiliates, and agents will not be liable for:
- Any incorrect or inaccurate information submitted by Participants or voters.
- Technical failures or interruptions, including but not limited to website outages.
- Losses or damages arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance of a prize.
12. Governing Law
This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from this Contest will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in San Francisco, California.
13. Privacy
Information collected during the Contest will be handled in accordance with Postman's Privacy Policy.
14. Amendments
Postman reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest or these Terms at any time without prior notice.
